Long distance moving

With over a decade of experience in moving industry, we pride ourselves in creating long distance moving experience that is catered to the customer. With your average out of state move, most companies will tell you that they will deliver your items in about 2-3 weeks; we deliver within 2-3 days. Our team loads everything in front of the customer, and unlike other companies, we are not performing multiple moves/servicing multiple customers with that some truck. Our next stop will be your new space.

Retirement communities

Prime has an outstanding reputation with senior living communities in Maryland. We help new residents make their successful relocation to their homes. We help them downsizing, taking items to storage, or donations.

Packing

Leave packing to us! We know that moving process can get overwhelming, so that is why we offer professional packing services for affordable price! Besides moving, our team is well trained for packing from children's toys to fine china. We offer packing for either the entire home or just a few items. We also sell packing materials; if you do intend to pack yourself, we will be glad to deliver all materials to your home FOR FREE!

Storage

Need storage? No problem, Prime has relationships with all local storage facilities and we will be glad to make storage arrangements for you. Your belongings will be stored in climate controlled, clean and secure facilities. If you are moving out of the state and need storage unit until you’re ready to move to your new home, Prime will arrange climate-controlled storage unit for you in the state you are moving to. .

I would like to recommend Marko and his men; they just moved my brother's things to his new location - I am out of the country - so we planned ahead and I involved a friend; the movers arrived on time; they had several stops to make, and unexpectedly one of the items was refused so an additional stop was added - all went smoothly. Moving and Packing Tips

  • Pack one room at a time. This is the best practice for maintaining physical and mental control of your move!
  • Tape bottoms and tops of all boxes with packing tape; don’t use duct tape.
  • To prevent cave-ins, fill boxes completely to the top; best solution is to fill up top of the box with packing paper.
  • Label all boxes! For example LV for living room, DR for dining room. This helps our movers know where to place boxes.
  • Dishes and china: The recommended way to pack dishes and china is to use bubble wrap; that provides the most protection. Place balled up packing sheets in all sides of the box for cushioning.
  • Box sizes: small ( 1.5 cubic feet): books, pantry goods, files, CDS, DVDS
    Medium ( 3.1 cubic feet ): dishes, cookware, small appliances
    Large: ( 4.5 cubit feet): pillows, clothes, linens and other light items
  • The more organized you are, the less time it take us=the less money out of your pocket. Being truly packed and ready when we arrive is the best way to keep the cost down!
  • Reserve parking for our truck at both locations
  • Reserve elevator if necessary
  • Create a plan for your new home so you know on moving day where the furniture is going
  • Prepare a bag of your personal items
  • Unplug and remove contents of all appliances, including gas or water lines
  • Place labels on items that are not going to be moved

    • Do Not pack:

  • Important documents ( I.E. passports, marriage license, birth certificates, any records containing bank account information or social security numbers)
